Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds work for Taskploy services offered by Taskploy Technologies Inc. (“Taskploy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This policy supplements our Terms of Service and Usage-Based Billing Terms. If there is a conflict, your applicable Order Form or enterprise agreement controls, then the Terms, then this policy.

1. Subscriptions Covered

This policy applies to:

  • self-serve subscriptions purchased through Taskploy checkout (Standard, Professional, and Ultimate);
  • free trials that convert to paid subscriptions; and
  • sales-led Enterprise plans, except where a separate written agreement states different terms.

Usage-based charges for SMS, email delivery, voice, phone numbers, payment processing, and similar services are governed separately and are generally non-refundable once incurred.

2. Billing Periods

Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis beginning on the subscription start date or renewal date shown in your account.

Annual Subscriptions

Where available, annual plans are billed in advance for a twelve-month term. Annual pricing may reflect a discount compared to twelve monthly payments—for example, billing equivalent to eleven months for a twelve-month term, as disclosed at checkout.

The applicable price, billing period, renewal date, and cancellation terms are shown before you subscribe.

3. Automatic Renewal

Unless you cancel before the end of your current billing period, paid subscriptions automatically renew for successive periods of the same length (monthly or annual) at the then-current rate, unless a promotional or locked rate applies as disclosed at purchase.

We may change subscription prices for renewals after reasonable notice, as described in the Terms. Price changes do not apply retroactively to a billing period already paid.

4. Free Trials

Taskploy offers a 14-day free trial on eligible self-serve plans. Trial availability, duration, and included features are disclosed when you sign up.

Unless otherwise stated at signup:

  • trials are available on Standard, Professional, and Ultimate self-serve plans;
  • Enterprise plans are not included in self-serve trials;
  • a valid payment card is required to start a trial;
  • trial features and usage limits may differ from paid plans;
  • if you do not cancel before the 14-day trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid plan and your payment method is charged at the disclosed rate; and
  • usage-based charges incurred during the trial are billed separately where applicable.

You are responsible for cancelling before the trial ends if you do not wish to be charged.

5. How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription by:

  • using the subscription or billing settings in your Taskploy account, where available; or
  • contacting help@taskploy.com if self-service cancellation is unavailable.

Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not automatically delete your account or Customer Data. Export any data you wish to retain before your access ends.

Enterprise Customers should follow the cancellation process stated in their Order Form or contact their Taskploy account representative.

6. Effect of Cancellation

Unless otherwise stated:

  • if you cancel a monthly subscription, you retain access until the end of the current paid monthly period;
  • if you cancel an annual subscription, you retain access until the end of the current paid annual term; and
  • fees already paid for the current billing period are not refunded upon cancellation.

After the paid period ends, your account may be downgraded, suspended, or terminated in accordance with the Terms.

7. Refund Policy

Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated below, all fees are non-refundable, including:

  • subscription fees for the current billing period;
  • annual subscription fees;
  • partially used billing periods;
  • add-on users or plan upgrades;
  • usage-based charges already incurred;
  • third-party pass-through fees; and
  • taxes, duties, or similar governmental charges.

Cancelling a subscription does not entitle you to a prorated refund for unused time in the current billing period.

8. Limited Refund Exceptions

We may, at our discretion, consider refunds in limited circumstances such as:

  • duplicate charges or billing errors confirmed by Taskploy after investigation;
  • charges resulting from a technical failure that prevented meaningful use of the Services and that we are unable to remedy within a reasonable period;
  • charges after cancellation where our systems failed to process a timely cancellation request documented by you; or
  • other situations required by applicable consumer-protection or commercial law.

Any discretionary refund does not create an obligation to provide similar refunds in the future.

Refund requests should be submitted within 30 days of the charge in question to help@taskploy.com, including your account email, invoice number, and a description of the issue.

9. Plan Changes and Downgrades

If you upgrade your plan during a billing period, you may be charged a prorated amount for the upgrade for the remainder of the period, as disclosed in your account or at checkout.

If you downgrade, the downgrade typically takes effect at the start of the next billing period unless otherwise stated. Downgrades do not entitle you to a refund for the difference between plans in the current period.

10. Usage-Based and Third-Party Charges

Charges for SMS, email campaigns, voice, phone numbers, payment processing, and other usage-based services are generally final once the underlying service has been delivered or committed to a carrier or provider.

See our Usage-Based Billing Terms for details.

11. Failed Payments and Reinstatement

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, notify your billing contact, and restrict or suspend access until payment is received. Reinstatement after suspension does not waive amounts properly due.

We do not provide refunds for periods during which access was suspended due to non-payment.

12. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so we can investigate.

Initiating an unwarranted chargeback may result in account suspension while the dispute is resolved. If a chargeback is resolved in Taskploy’s favour, you remain responsible for amounts properly owed, and we may terminate the account for abuse of the payment dispute process.

13. Taxes

Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Refunds, where granted, may be limited to the net amount paid and may not include taxes remitted to tax authorities.

14. Enterprise and Order Form Customers

Enterprise Customers with signed Order Forms may have different cancellation notice periods, refund terms, or minimum commitments. Those written terms control over this policy.

15. Data After Cancellation

After your subscription ends, Customer Data may remain available for a limited export period before deletion or anonymization, as described in the Terms and Privacy Policy. We recommend exporting required data before cancellation takes effect.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as described in the Terms. Changes apply to future billing periods and do not retroactively alter completed transactions except where required by law.
