Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Taskploy Technologies Inc. (“Taskploy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our websites, use our web and mobile applications, or interact with our marketing pages (collectively, the “Sites”).

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Where this policy refers to “you,” it means website visitors, account holders, and other individuals who interact with the Sites.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, SDK identifiers, and device identifiers used for comparable purposes.

These technologies help websites and applications function, remember preferences, maintain security, measure usage, and—where permitted—support marketing.

2. How Taskploy Uses These Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Strictly Necessary

These are required for core functionality, such as authentication, session management, security, load balancing, fraud prevention, and remembering choices necessary to provide the service you request. Without these technologies, parts of the Sites may not work properly.

Functional and Preference

These remember settings such as language, region, display preferences, or other choices that improve your experience.

Analytics and Performance

These help us understand how visitors and users interact with the Sites, including which pages are viewed, how features are used, and whether errors occur. We use this information to improve performance, usability, and reliability.

Marketing and Measurement

Where enabled and where consent or another lawful basis applies, we may use technologies to measure campaign effectiveness, attribute sign-ups or enquiries, and deliver or limit promotional content.

We do not use cookies to sell personal information to advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for more information about how we handle personal information.

3. First-Party and Third-Party Technologies

First-party cookies are set by Taskploy domains that you visit or use.

Third-party cookies are set by service providers that support analytics, authentication, payment processing, embedded content, communications, or marketing measurement. Those providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.

When you connect third-party integrations inside Taskploy, those services may also set or read technologies within their own domains or embedded interfaces. Their practices are governed by their respective policies.

4. Examples of Technologies We May Use

The specific cookies and technologies in use may change as our Sites evolve. Categories may include:

  • Session and authentication cookies — to keep you signed in and protect your account;
  • Security cookies — to help detect abuse, bots, and suspicious activity;
  • Preference cookies — to remember settings you choose;
  • Analytics cookies — to measure traffic, feature adoption, and errors;
  • Marketing or attribution cookies — where enabled, to understand how users arrive at Taskploy and whether campaigns are effective; and
  • Application storage — local or session storage used by our web app for performance and offline-capable features where supported.

We maintain an internal cookie inventory and will update this policy when we introduce material new categories of non-essential cookies.

5. Cookie Duration

Cookies may be:

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser or end your session; or
  • Persistent cookies — remain for a defined period or until deleted, depending on their purpose.

Retention periods vary based on function. Strictly necessary session cookies typically expire when your session ends. Analytics and preference cookies may persist for longer periods consistent with their purpose.

6. Legal Basis and Consent

Where required by applicable law—including Canadian privacy law and, where relevant, laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or ePrivacy rules—we will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies or similar technologies on your device.

Strictly necessary cookies may be used without consent where permitted because they are required to provide the service you request or to ensure security.

Our Sites include a cookie preference tool that lets you accept or reject non-essential categories. You can open it from the banner when you first visit, or at any time using Cookie settings in the site footer. You can also change your choices through your browser settings.

7. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Cookie controls on our Sites — use the cookie banner or Cookie settings in the footer to manage non-essential cookies;
  • Browser settings — most browsers let you block, delete, or limit cookies. Instructions are usually found in your browser’s help section;
  • Mobile device settings — your device may offer controls for advertising identifiers or tracking preferences; and
  • Opt-out tools — some analytics or advertising providers offer their own opt-out mechanisms.

If you block or delete cookies, some features of the Sites may not function correctly, including sign-in, saved preferences, or certain security protections.

Blocking cookies does not necessarily prevent all online tracking, and clearing cookies may require you to re-enter preferences.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for responding to such signals, Taskploy does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in a uniform way. We will continue to monitor regulatory and industry developments.

9. Marketing Emails and Pixels

Our emails may contain pixels or links that help us understand whether messages were opened or links were clicked. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the message. Unsubscribing from marketing does not disable strictly necessary service or security communications.

10. International Visitors

Taskploy is operated from Canada. If you access the Sites from another country, cookies and related data may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other locations where we or our service providers operate. See our Privacy Policy for more information about cross-border processing.

11. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our Sites, technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when this policy was most recently revised.

If we make material changes to how we use non-essential cookies, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required by law.
