Roles and permissions
Taskploy uses role-based access so employees see only the modules, records and actions relevant to their job. Administrators control who can view, create, edit or approve work across the workspace.
Common role types
- Administrator — full workspace configuration, billing and user management
- Manager — team oversight, approvals and reporting for assigned areas
- Standard user — day-to-day work in assigned modules
- Restricted user — limited module or record access where configured
Exact role names and options may vary by account configuration.
What permissions control
- Which modules appear in the navigation
- Whether a user can create, edit or delete records
- Approval authority for expenses, leave and other requests
- Access to financial, payroll or customer data
- Report and export visibility
Assign roles to a user
- Open Settings → Users.
- Select the teammate or invite a new user.
- Choose a role and any module-specific permissions.
- Save changes and ask the user to sign in again if required.
Departments and teams
Where supported, organize users into departments or teams to route approvals, filter reports and reflect your internal structure. Departments are not separate companies — your workspace still represents one legal entity.
Best practices
- Grant administrators sparingly.
- Remove access promptly when someone leaves the organization.
- Review permissions after plan upgrades that unlock new modules.
- Enable multi-factor authentication for admin accounts where available.
